Hurts To Love You (Forbidden Hearts #3) // ARC Review

35068637Being bad never felt so good, in the third novel in Alisha Rai’s sexy Forbidden Hearts series!

Well-behaved women don’t lust after men who love to misbehave.

Heiress Evangeline Chandler knows how to keep a secret . . . like her life-long crush on the tattooed hottie who just happens to be her big brother’s friend. She’s a Chandler, after all, and Chandlers don’t hook up with the help. Then again, they also don’t disobey their fathers and quit their respectable jobs, so good-girl rules may no longer apply.

Gabriel Hunter hides the pain of his past behind a smile, but he can’t hide his sudden attraction to his friend’s sheltered little sister. Eve is far too sweet to accept anything less than forever and there’s no chance of a future between the son of a housekeeper and the town’s resident princess.

When a wedding party forces Eve and Gabe into tight quarters, keeping their hands off each other will be as hard as keeping their clothes on. The need that draws them together is stronger than the forces that should shove them apart . . . but their sparks may not survive the explosion when long-buried secrets are finally unearthed.

First off, I finished reading this in January and yeah yeah am only now writing this review here (I already posted on GR) because i finished and was like: WHAT IS MY LIFE NOW THAT THIS SERIES IS OVER????!!!

Honestly, this book and this series just…bravo!!

Wow I’m emotionally compromised by this book. I legit teared up at that epilogue because perfection??? Oh man the series is over and all the secrets have been revealed and tied up and wow!! Alisha Rai has written and amazing series here with characters I adore. I’m just…whatever I’m FINE ok!

whispers: i’m not fine…

From the first book I was hooked and stayed that way with each one and I love how even though this book is very much Eve and Gabe’s story it happens during Livvy and Nicholas’ wedding so of course their story that began in book 1 has it’s HEA too. And i love loove that family relationships kept being a major theme in this book.
It’s a big cast we have here and there’s always something great about secondary characters who don’t steal the spotlight from the MCs but are so well fleshed out and complex in their own right.

I really liked Eve. It’s her book and Gabe’s so we get to learn more about them. She’s more reserved to Gabe extrovertness and they just work so well together. I love how we saw Eve come into her own, and she stood up for herself against her brother, and at the end against her father. Her speech to Brendan yesss girl!

Eve and Gabe together, ooh lawd that delicious tension. Listen this book has that “oh no we’re stuck in this cabin til the rain stops and we gotta strip off our wet clothes to dry them so now we’re half naked under these blankets” trope and lemme just thank the author for that

And that epilogue omg. I know I already said but What a beautiful ending. That almost made me cry.

I just want everyone to read this series ok? Please? Just read them and come cry with meeeee. Because it’s over. Although i’d love a book with Sadia’s sisters or something.
